Up a few steps but changing table in spacious unisex toilets
The Craftsman is one of those rare finds where you can genuinely settle in for hours – morning coffee through to evening drinks. This family-run café and bar has a wonderfully relaxed, homely atmosphere with thoughtful touches throughout, from the vintage lighting to carefully chosen furniture. The food is excellent, whether you're after a proper full English breakfast or their popular pizzas later in the day, and there's a fantastic rotating selection of craft beers alongside good coffee and cakes.
Parents will find baby changing facilities on site, and the welcoming vibe extends to everyone (it's even dog-friendly). The moderate pricing won't break the bank, and there's outdoor seating when weather permits. Do note that the layout isn't ideal for prams, so you might want to use a carrier or come when you can navigate stairs more easily. The vegetarian options are worth mentioning too, making it easy to accommodate different eating stages.
The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which makes all the difference when you're out with little ones. With plug sockets dotted about, it's also a decent spot if you need to catch up on emails while baby naps.
